The new-age social discovery app Hunch, based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, has acquired $23 million in Series A funding. The platform encourages candid and anonymous interactions.
Along with other investors, Alpha Wave led the round.
The app’s debut across the US and future expansion in India are the company’s plans for the money.
Hunch is an anonymous platform that was introduced in December 2022 by CEO Ish Goel, CPO Nitika Goel, and CMO Kartic Rakhra.
Users generate polls on Hunch that garner comments and votes. Numerous topics, including pop culture, video games, money, dating, relationships, anime, and much more, are covered in these surveys. By finding others who share their thoughts, the polls help users close the gap in interest. With over 25 million votes from users countrywide, more than 640,000 polls have been created thus far.
Along with locations in India and Singapore, the company’s headquarters are located in Dubai.
