YoLa Fresh, a Moroccan agritech startup developing a sustainable and transparent network for the supply of fresh produce, has secured $7 million in pre-series A funding.
Al Mada Ventures led the funding round, which also included Algebra Ventures, E3 Capital, Janngo Capital, and FMO, the Dutch entrepreneurial development bank.
The funds will be utilized to extend the business beyond Morocco in an effort to stimulate economic expansion throughout Africa.
Under the leadership of co-CEOs Youssef Mamou and Larbi Alaoui Belrhiti, YoLa Fresh facilitates direct connections between retailers, food service companies, and farmers, resulting in increased revenue for retailers and farmers, decreased food deterioration, and more affordable, fresh options for consumers.
