On March 27, Larsen and Toubro reported that L&T Construction’s buildings and industries vertical has secured many orders worth between ₹2,500 crore and ₹5,000 crore in both the local and foreign markets.
Orders in the range of ₹2,500 crore to ₹5,000 crore are considered ‘big’ orders under L&T’s classification.
L&T will be building the 165-bed Al Namaa General Hospital in Oman as one of the several orders.
It got the directive from the Sultanate of Oman’s Ministry of Health. The project comprises civil structures, MEP services, medical equipment, finishes, and external development, including landscaping. It is scheduled to be completed in 30 months.
The corporation plans to build the Maa Kamakhya Temple Access Corridor in Assam as part of its domestic market. According to a stock exchange filing by the business, the order, which was obtained by the state’s Public Works Department, is for a design and build turnkey project that includes a multi-utility building, pilgrim management block, Chinnamasta block, Siddheshwar block, and access corridor. Finishes, related MEP services, and outside development on the property are also included.
A subsidiary of a well-known paint manufacturer also gave L&T Construction the go-ahead to construct a polymer production facility in Gujarat. “The scope involves civil, structural and architectural works including external development works,” it read.
In conclusion, the business was also given an order for civil, structural, and architectural works for a solar glass production facility located in Gujarat.
At 11 am on March 27, its stock was up 1.32% at ₹3,720 per share. The last year saw a 72.77% rise in the stock.
