A $12 million Series A fundraising round was secured by Anima, a care enablement platform provider situated in London, UK.
Lead investor Molten Ventures led the round, which also included new angel investors, including Peak Games creator Sidar Sahin, as well as Hummingbird Ventures, Amino Collective, and Y Combinator.
The funding will be used by the company to expedite deployment to tens of millions of patients and medical professionals globally.
Anima provides an operating system for integrated care at the clinic, network, and regional levels under the direction of CEO Shun Pang.
With a functional system at its foundation, the company’s online consultation and productivity tools combine to provide all the resources a care team might possibly require on one platform.
The platform has proven essential to clinic operations across the National Health Service (NHS) since its inception with its first paid clinics in 2022.
Anima began operating in September 2022 with its first paid clinics and is already present in more than 150 NHS clinics throughout England.
Later this year, the company plans to deploy Anima 1.5, the next version of the software, after a product release in December 2023.
Shun Pang expressed his excitement with the news by saying, “We’re excited to bring Inga of Molten on our journey. We could tell from the start that she agreed with Inga and Molten’s long-held theory of care enablement.”
