Vawlt, a long-term data storage startup based in Lisbon, Portugal, has closed a funding round of €2.15 million.
Along with Carlos Brazão and Alain Fiocco, current investors Armilar Venture Partners and Shilling VC were also backers, along with Lince Capital, Basinghall Partners, and Beta Capital.
The money will be used by the business to grow its workforce, speed up product development, and provide more support to its extensive global Channel Partner Network.
Vawlt, which was founded in 2018 and is run by CEO Ricardo Mendes, secures and expedites the shift to the cloud by enabling reliable, long-term data storage solutions.
The Supercloud idea lies at the heart of the solution. Through the simultaneous distribution of data across several clouds or on-premises nodes, the organization establishes a storage environment that is secure, reliable, and effective.
Data availability is guaranteed by the technology, even in the event of cloud outages or security risks like ransomware attacks.
