The San Jose, California-based company Axiom Cloud, has raised $5 million to develop its refrigeration control software for cold storage and grocery stores.
Toshiba Tec and Windsail Capital Group led the funding round.
The business plans to increase operations and development with the help of the funding.
Under the direction of CEO Amrit Robbins, Axiom Cloud is revolutionizing the way climate and money are affected by powering, running, and maintaining the world’s cooling systems through AI and automation.
Incorporating into current refrigeration control systems, its Early Leak Detection (ELD) technology minimizes disturbances while delivering insights into energy efficiency and system performance as well as early leak detection.
“The EPA recognizes that refrigerant leaks are accelerating climate change as typical refrigerants have a global warming potential (GWP) ~3,000 times greater than carbon dioxide. The AIM Act addresses this problem head-on. Axiom’s proven leak-detection solution is listed by both the EPA and the California Air Resources Board (CARB), its best-in-class performance has been proven across hundreds of facilities, and it can be deployed rapidly across thousands of sites without the need for expensive hardware retrofits, all while generating a great ROI.”
