According to a statement from LG Electronics, he spoke with CEO William Cho of LG Electronics and parent firm LG Corp over business strategy pertaining to the development of next-generation XR devices. He also opened a new tab for COO Kwon Bong-seok.
Cho also talked about potential on-device AI collaboration and showed interest in Meta’s massive language model-based AI technology, according to his business. Cho has stated in the past that LG Electronics is searching for XR chances.
Quest 3, the newest mixed-reality headset from Meta, was released in June ahead of rival Apple’s (AAPL.O) new tab that intensified competition this month with its Vision Pro device.
This year, it has also stepped up attempts to use AI, announcing plans for a unique microprocessor and incorporating AI features into goods.
This is Zuckerberg’s first known trip to South Korea in about a decade. According to South Korean media, it is a part of a tour of Asian nations that also includes Japan and India.

According to Reuters last month, Meta intends to introduce a new version of a proprietary processor into its data centers this year to boost its AI effort. Additionally, it intends to purchase roughly 350,000 H100 graphics processing units from Nvidia (NVDA.O), a key supplier of AI chips.
