Clipdrop has been bought by Austin, Texas-based Jasper, a generative AI app business.
Paris-based firm, Clipdrop runs an AI platform for creating and altering images.
The deal’s total value was not made public.
In 2020, Cyril Diagne, Damien Henry, and Jonathan Blanchet—all former Google employees—founded Clipdrop, a platform that lets users modify and generate new photos as well as create a vast array of size, detail, and style variations.
This technology can help marketers and brand executives create on-brand creative and accelerate their advertising strategy.
“The addition of Clipdrop to Jasper will advance our vision to be the most comprehensive end-to-end marketing copilot in the industry, powering all the formats, channels, and functions enterprise marketing teams need. A copilot this robust will enable the enterprises we serve to go beyond simple AI prompts to achieve more personalized marketing, better informed automation, and improved optimization across their entire strategy.”
