The debut of the Population Health Management (PHM) Solution, driven by Generative AI, was recently announced by the Indian digital engineering business Persistent Systems.
The goal of the solution, which is being developed in partnership with Microsoft, is to successfully manage patients’ non-clinical requirements and estimate healthcare expenditures by putting an emphasis on the Social Determinants of Health (SDoH).
Deploying Azure OpenAI
According to a statement from the business, Persistent will be able to take advantage of Dynamics 365 Customer Insights and Microsoft Azure OpenAI Service thanks to this cooperation. Notably, the partnership also leverages Microsoft’s state-of-the-art technology along with Persistent’s extensive domain expertise to improve the quality of patient care and operational effectiveness in the healthcare industry.
Applying EHR information
As per Persistent, their PHM Solution extracts up to 80% of unstructured clinical notes and uses Electronic Health Records (EHR) data to identify SDoH. The method seeks to offer more precise, scalable, and compliant care suggestions; it deviates dramatically from current methods that rely on surveys or data from third parties.
Supporting healthcare professionals
According to the organisation, care management teams and community-based programmes are two ways that the solution helps healthcare professionals deliver personalised interventions.
According to a statement from the corporation, by doing this, it hopes to save needless ER visits, readmissions, and prolonged hospital stays.
Senior Vice President & General Manager-Global Lead, HLS Business at Persistent, Ganesh Nathella, stressed the significance of tackling the root causes of unfavourable healthcare outcomes.
He said, “With this innovative Solution, built on Persistent’s deep domain expertise and differentiated frameworks along with Microsoft Azure OpenAI Service and Dynamics 365 Customer Insights, we are identifying care access and health equity issues by optimising enterprise capacities and ensuring cost-effectiveness.”
