A $4 million government grant was given to Nanopath Inc., a point-of-care diagnostics firm located in Cambridge, Massachusetts that provides rapid, high-quality molecular testing.
The business received two grants:
- $1 million from the National Science Foundation (NSF)
- $3 million from the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
The Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Program, a competitive initiative created to support technical advancements created by small firms, provided funding for both projects. This donation increases the company’s overall financing to more than $15 million.
Use of funds
The money will go toward developing the platform’s point-of-care diagnostics for women’s health.
