A $20 million Series B fundraising round was secured by Expedera, a Santa Clara, California-based company that licenses edge inference artificial intelligence (AI) semiconductor intellectual property (IP).

- Independent Semiconductor raised a total of over $47 million with the help of other investors.
Use of funds
The business plans to utilize the money to grow its worldwide engineering base and enhance its Neural Processing Unit (NPU) IP products and services.
The corporation has customer service offices and engineering development centers in Singapore, Taiwan, China, Japan, and the United Kingdom.
