Use of funds
The business plans to strengthen the engineering, development, customer success, and sales teams in addition to using the money to fulfill demand from payers and providers around the US for its real-time care coordination Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform.
Four of the six largest US health plans, as well as thousands of clinical and non-clinical providers who are providing treatment to over five million patients, are among the company’s current clients. Prominent post-acute healthcare organizations and national health systems are among them.
The system satisfies essential legal criteria for HIPAA compliance, data security, and privacy and is HITRUST-certified. At the moment of care, physicians may get a carefully curated collection of pertinent, real-time clinical data from Watershed. It offers a virtual workspace for clinicians to ask questions and resolve patient issues, and it combines with currently available digital technologies, such as electronic health records (EHRs) and health information exchanges (HIE). Since Watershed creates confidential quality metrics that other payers and providers looking for high-impact care partners may view, it also encourages responsibility in care coordination.
