São Paulo, Brazil-based Naturanic has raised $2 million in Series A funding. The company sells snacks produced with organic and natural ingredients from Brazil’s biodiversity.
Moriah Asset led this round. The money will be used by the business to expand its production capabilities, increase its market share in the US, and launch new product lines.
Naturanic is a snack company that was co-founded by Gilberto Sampaio and Flávio Fernandes. Its products are created entirely of organic and natural ingredients.
Using organic ingredients from Brazil’s biodiversity, such as acerola, banana, coconut, açaí, camu camu, cupuaçu, and Brazil nuts, its current portfolio comprises freeze-dried fruits, chocolate-covered snacks, bars, and barks chocolates.
With the new collaboration, Naturanic plans to expand into protein bars and spreads, which should arrive later this year.
