Mews, a hospitality cloud provider situated in Amsterdam, Netherlands, has raised $110 million in growth capital.
Together with Revaia, Goldman Sachs Alternatives, Notion Capital, and new investor LGVP, Kinnevik, an existing investor, is leading the round.
With the additional capital, which puts the company’s valuation at $1.2 billion, the company plans to give priority to acquisitions, R&D, and global expansion.
Richard Valtr founded this company in 2012, and it offers cloud-based systems that help modern hoteliers run their operations more efficiently, enhance the visitor experience, and build successful enterprises.
It is compatible with thousands of different technological products. Mews is currently used by 5,000 clients globally to manage over 350,000 hospitality spaces, including Accor, Generator-Freehand, The Strawberry Group, The Social Hub, and Airelles.
The funding comes after a notable growth-filled year.
Over the past year, Mews has accomplished:
- Revenue increased by more than 60% on a yearly basis, reaching $100 million in net revenue annually, a notable rise in gross payment volume to more over $8 billion
- More than 16 million people check into hotels globally each year
- More than 1,000 integrations with industry-leading hospitality technologies
- Mews has now purchased three more hospitality startups (Frontdesk Anywhere, Hotello, and Nomi), bringing its total to eight.
