$31 million in Series A funding has been raised by PermitFlow, a Milpitas, California-based startup that streamlines the building permit application process.
Lead investor in the round was Kleiner Perkins, with participation from angel investors in AI, workflow software, ConTech, Felicis, Altos Ventures, and Y Combinator.
The money will be used by the business to grow both its operations and its growth initiatives.
Under the leadership of CEO Francis Thumpasery, PermitFlow is a platform for managing and applying for permits that assists builders nationwide in streamlining and expediting the construction permit application process.
In addition to commercial activity, the company intends to continue prioritizing the residential goal, having assisted in the permitting of over 5,000 housing units thus far.
With the help of this additional revenue, they may invest in the permitting software and provide better customer assistance. To lessen the work required for permits and enhance results, they are continuously enhancing and growing the workflows, integrations, business information, and collaboration capabilities.
