Dubai based, Triple-A first-person shooter developer, Exverse, has raised $3 million in funding for their free-to-play games on the Web3.
Leading companies in the space, including KuCoin Labs, Epic Games, Seedify, and ChainGPT, participated in the round headed by Cogitent Ventures, Cointelligence, and Moonrock Capital.
The company plans to increase operations and development activities with the help of the money.
Exverse is a gaming firm founded by Nikita Uriupin and run by CEO Fei Ooi Hoong. Its goal is to introduce classic AAA-caliber first-person shooter games on the Web3. Exverse, a real-time game developed with Epic’s Unreal Engine 5, balances realism and immersion with blockchain technology.
Prioritizing talent above pay-to-win mechanisms, the game allows players to earn incentives by staking tokens prior to the start of a season. Top performers also stand to win a portion of the earnings from in-game NFTs, which include skins and cosmetics.
Users compete in eight-week cycles known as seasons on Exverse’s three planets, Social, Quest, and Battle, each of which caters to a distinct playing style while staying connected inside a single timeline.
