Synadia, the San Mateo, California-based startup has raised $25M in its Series B fundraising round.
The startup has developed NATS.io (NATS), an open-source cloud and edge-native messaging system for data streaming.
Forgepoint Capital led the funding round, which raised the total to $51 million. Singtel Innov8, LDVP, and 5G Open Innovation Lab also contributed. Ernie Bio, the managing director of Forgepoint, will become a member of Synadia’s board of directors.
The company plans to use the money to push NATS.io’s growth even faster in order to provide more cutting-edge digital services.
CEO Derek Collison launched Synadia in 2017 with the goal of enabling developers and businesses to implement their edge application strategies more quickly in a way that is both highly secure and independent of the cloud.
It develops NATS.io, an open-source platform that enables applications all over the world. Innovative startups, Global 500 companies in the banking, retail, automotive, and industrial manufacturing sectors, as well as startups in the fintech, AI, green energy, and gaming industries, make up its varied clientele.
