The meeting comes after reports that Zuckerberg will visit South Korea at the end of the month to talk AI with Samsung Electronics (005930.KS), opens new tab chairman Jay Y. Lee, and perhaps meet South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol.
Japan’s government and corporate sector are racing to catch up on AI development. Over the last year, Kishida has met with OpenAI CEO Sam Altman and Nvidia (NVDA.O) CEO Jensen Huang to explore AI policy and infrastructure.
