The 24th Habano Festival ended with a stunning Gala Evening at Havana’s Pabexpo conference center, where 1,200 guests celebrated Trinidad’s 55th anniversary. The start of the “Trinidad Year” made this event a special meeting spot for fans of one of the most prominent premium tobacco brands.
The evening celebrated Trinidad, one of Habanos, S.A.’s most elegant and exclusive brands, and introduced Trinidad Robustos Extra, the brand’s most important new addition to its standard portfolio in this “Trinidad Year” (50 ring gauge x 155 mm length).
It enhances the brand’s thick ring gauge portfolio and will be available in a new, elegant case in two presentations: a special pack of 12 Habanos and a gift box of 3 units, each with a permanent foot ring and a 55th anniversary band for the commemorative production.
As part of the “Trinity Year” celebrations, this new vitola was not the only surprise. The rare Trinidad 55th anniversary Fundadores Vintage 10 humidors were designed by renowned fashion designer Charaf Tajer. 1,000 S.T. Dupont humidors, the first 55 of which feature the famous French designer’s design. This cooperation combines design and Habano heritage, giving collectors and fans a unique piece of art and culture.
The event featured performances by celebrities, diplomats, and renowned artists, including Manolito Simonet, Ivan Valiente, the Vocal Luna group, and virtuosos José María Vitier, Niurka González, Bárbara Llanes, Laritza Bacallao, Alisabeth La Santiaguera, and Max. From classic Cuban rhythms to modern melodies, they kept the audience moving until the Village People’s last performance.
Presenting the Habano 2023 Awards, which honor those who have contributed to Habano culture over the past year, was the evening’s highlight. The Habanos World Challenge winners, Philip Ramos and Aaron Ignacio, were also announced.

The traditional Humidor Auction concluded the 24th Habano Festival. As a surprise, the first of the 128 Cohiba Tributo Year of the Dragon humidors was auctioned, followed by 7 rare Habanos brands and a Trinidad 55th anniversary humidor. The Cuban Public Health System will get the cash.
The auctioned items raised €17,800,000. Most money went to the €4,500,000 Cohiba humidor.
