$18 million in Series A funding was raised by Tavus, a generative AI video research business situated in San Francisco, California.
Scale Venture Partners led the financing, and Rory O’Driscoll became a director of the business. Participating companies included HubSpot, Y Combinator, Sequoia Capital, and others.
With demand for its SaaS application coming from an expanding spectrum of use cases in banking, real estate, automotive, and healthcare, the business plans to use the money to continue accelerating product and model development and to boost sales in the enterprise and mid-market.
Tavus is a generative AI video research firm led by CEO Hassaan Raza, with the goal of enabling hyper-personalized video at scale. It offers cutting-edge AI models with the ability to create digital duplicates, lip sync, dub, text-to-video, and orchestrate tailored videos at scale. There will soon be several more APIs available, such as:
● Lip Syncing API: Partial or complete lip synchronization.
● Dubbing API: Lip syncing and translation done seamlessly.
