The multi-CDN-as-a-Service platform provider IO River, situated in Tel Aviv, Israel, has raised $5.4 million in investment.
Leading the round was S Capital, with participation from co-founders of XtremIO, M-Systems, and Jeeng, Aryeh Mergi, and Cotendo, HiBob, and Ronni Zehavi.
The company plans to increase operations and development activities with the help of the money.
Established by Edward Tsinovoi and Michael Hakimi, IO River offers an API and a graphical user interface for building and managing many edge networks, giving the impression of a single super-network. Without requiring laborious migration and configuration procedures, organizations can incorporate their current providers and add new ones.
Based on the user’s location, the kind of traffic, and other variables, businesses can specify criteria that maximize both cost and performance when deciding which edge network to employ for certain users.
Web application firewall (WAF), rate limitation, traffic control, and edge computing are among the application services that IO River provides in a uniform layer across several edge vendors.
